provides a custom framework for player hairs that will not affect NPCs. contains 20+ hairstyles and various accessories. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION

this mod is finally in a state that I am happy with for proper release.
this mod has been completely overhauled since versions 1 & 2, so I suggest that you delete all of the old mod files and any mgraphs you were using (the files will be harmless if left in their folders, however, as they do not alter default game textures)
WHAT THIS MOD DOES
this mod introduces a unique file path system for player hairs and hair accessories so that they will NOT affect NPCs (turning them bald, etc). this mod also includes many different hairstyles, both player and NPC, converted to this new system to be used as “building blocks” for creating unique hairstyles. if you are only interested in using the mod as-is, then just download the main file and any hair packs you’d like to use! more information on personal customization will be explained further down
INSTALL PATH
copy/drag the ‘blue’ folder into your ‘AFOP’ directory
‘blue/graph objects/gear’ <– drop any '.mgraphobject' files in your 'gear' folder
UNINSTALLING
CTRL+F search in your ‘blue’ folder for ‘UPH’, then delete every file that uses that string
delete mgraphobjects from ‘blue/graph objects/gear’ like normal
ADDITIONAL CUSTOMIZATION
this mod IS compatible with pre-existing recolors/retextures of hair accessories (for example, Neytiri’s Feathers by elfinpy) ONLY IF you follow this mod’s naming conventions and place the files in the correct folders
file for feathers used by player hairs is located within ‘blue\baked\characterart\player\hair\p_hair_00\textures’ and is named ‘p_hair_UPHCUSTOM01_d.dds’
hair accessory files for Etuwa, Nefika, Nesim, So’lek, Minang, Kataru, and Kukulope are located within ‘blue\baked\characterart\npc\custom\UPH_01\textures’ and are named with their NPC identifier (cus_##)
hair accessory files for generic hairbands and some NPCs are located within ‘blue\baked\characterart\player\hair\shared’ and are named with their NPC identifier (cus_##) where applicable
for retexture files, simply rename the file to match the way it is spelled in this mod, including case sensitivity
NOTES
there will be clipping in 1st person POV when using NPC hairs and accessories; this is unavoidable. additionally, some NPC hairs disappear when on mounts and/or when crouching. I am looking into fixing this for as many hairs as possible
I did my best to reduce the overall size of this mod and simplify the necessary file paths, but please feel free to reach out to me if you need additional help!
this mod was not made with the original intention of being a modder’s resource, however, if you would like to make accessory or hairband recolors using this mod so they won’t affect NPCs, please list this mod as a requirement and follow the naming conventions. no additional credit is necessary
